It has been a while since I went thrifting, but it's really because buying good vintage pieces here in QLD are actually pretty expensive, especially because I LOVE vintage dresses..and when i find good vintage dresses they usually cost around $30+AUD, which can be quite expensive.
Anyway, I have been staying on Gold Coast since my uni holiday started. Yesterday when I went to my friend's place, we couldn't decide what to do and where to go because we have been to most of the places that we could think of during the past few weeks (major shopping malls, surfers paradise) -.- While we were having a hard time thinking of what to do, I suddenly remembered there is a street in the surburb with a few op shops, so we quickly decided to go there. I really don't know if it was a good decision because I ended up buying a lot, although I didn't spend a lot in total! I carried all my purchases in the magazine holder that I got.
Anyway, I thought I would share with you my haul from my yesterday's shopping trip!
*Picture Heavy!!*
magazine holder, blouse, trousers, dresses, sweaters
I bought this pair of trousers from the first op shop that I went to and instantly fell in love with it. I love the colour and the fabric.
I Love the floral patterns and the colour combination of this jumper, it's long enough to be worn as a dress.
Pretty details!
I love the collar of this blouse and the silk-ish fabric & it's print :)
the collar is pretty fancy, I am thinking of wearing this blouse with a high waisted skirt
This is a short sleeve maxi dress (?) It had the most interesting iron-on zebra patches.
Just FYI, I didn't know the word for 'iron-on patches' in English so I had to google it.
I think I bought this dress because of the zebras, haha.
After buying all those above pieces from the second shop that I went to, I didn't know if I should buy this sweater after buying all of the others. My reason of hesitation was because the sweater was a bit big for me esp. the shoulders. I guess I just couldn't resist the rose collars!!
Love the crochet roses. The fabric is sparkly :P
Found this cardigan at the 3rd shop that I went to, instantly fell in love with the colour and the flowers!
I am a freak of taking photos of details. lol
Black velvet dress!! The weather was pretty warm yesterday, esp. that we walked heaps. I don't know why..but this dress's fabric is so cool. It was really comfortable (!)
probably will wear this dress with black tights and a pair of mary janes.
Finally and lastly, I bought this tapestry magazine holder for $6! Maybe it was a bit of an impulse buy. Samie spotted it, and told me to buy it...and I thought ummm..maybe I do need a magazine holders!!
Thanks for reading!
